신화와 사실
동명왕릉하면 우리는 그가 신화적 인물이라는 황당한 관념때문에 그 심볼리즘의 정체성을 제대로 파악하지 못한다. 그러나 우리는 신화myth와 사실fact을 역전시키는 코페르니쿠스 혁명적 사유를 단행하지 않으면 아니된다. 고대적 담론에 있어서는 신화 그것이 곧 사실의 상징적 구성symbolic construction인 것이다. 우리가 일상적으로 바라보는 나무 한 그루도 실상 알고보면 "상징"의 체계인 것이다 - 도올의 중국일기_2 289쪽 -
