도심주를 복중腹中에서 턱밑에까지 단단히 받쳐 놓으면 아무리 요동해도 꿈쩍도 아니하며 도끼로도 못 찍고 짜구로도 못 깍고, 썩지도 않고 불로도 못 태우고 벼락이라도 못 때릴 터이니 부디 도심주를 잘 가지라. (도전 8:51)
Once the pillar of dao mind is firmly lodged between the stomach and the chin, it will not budge no matter how hard it is shaken. It cannot be hewn by an axe, chipped by a scraper, decomposed by time, burned by flame, or struck down by lightning. You must indeed keep the pillar of dao mind firmly within you.(KD 8:51:7~9)
