Faithfully Cultivating and Purifying the Mind and Serving Sangjenim

마음을 잘 닦고 상제님을 섬겨야

Taemonim said to the disciples, “Cultivate and purify your mind faithfuly.

태모님께서 성도들에게 말씀하시기를 “마음을 잘 닦으라.” 하시고

Al who have iniquitous minds wil be extirpated by disease. “마음 불량한 놈은 병으로 솎으리니 

When you receive high spirits 

신명 맞이할 때 

while the commander spirits of the five directions stand arayed, 

오방신장 늘어서서 

it wil be dificult for you to kep your senses.”

너희들 정신 차리기 어려우리라.” 하시니라. She also declared to the disciples, 

또 말씀하시기를 

“When the Later Heaven unfolds in the times to come, “장차 후천을 당하여 

the spirits, aware of everything, 

신명들이 다 알고 

wil not kil those who have failed to cultivate and purify their minds, 

닦지 않은 자는 죽이지는 않으나

but they wil seize such people by their nape 

목덜미를 잡아 

and drag them away from their unrightful places.

끌어내느니라.

In your daily afairs, do not lie—faithfuly preserve your true mind. 

평소에 거짓말하지 말고 본심을 잘 지켜라. Only by chanting the Taeulju Mantra asiduously 

태을주를 열심히 읽고 

and serving Sangjenim faithfuly wil you behold a magnificent world.”

상제님을 잘 섬겨야 좋은 세상을 보게 되느니라.” 하시니라. Taemonim often told the disciples, 

태모님께서 종종 성도들에게 일러 말씀하시기를 

“To reach the Later Heaven, you must first abandon yourself.”

“후천을 가려면 먼저 나를 버리라.” 하시니라.
