No matter how fervent your desire to accomplish an endeavor, it will come to naught without the aid of the spirits of heaven and earth.
Even the fruits that hang in the wild have names.

Just as trees gain their names through their fruits, people gain their renown through their deeds.

사람이 아무리 하고 싶어도 못하고 천지신명이 들어야 되느니라. 주인 없는 나무 위의 저 열매도 달린 대로 그 이름이 있나니 나무는 그 열매로써 이름을 얻고 사람은 그 행실로써 이름을 얻느니라.
