1 After offering a chiseong for Chuseok on August 15, Taemonim commanded the disciples, “I must conduct works of renewal in Jeongeup County, and when I reside there, it will be for many years. Precede me and purchase a house there.”
8월 한가위 치성을 모신 후에 성도들에게 명하시기를 “내가 이제 정읍에 공사가 있어 가면 장구한 세월이 되겠으니 미리 가서 집 한 채를 사 놓으라.” 하시므로
2 Several disciples went to Wangsim-ri Village in Jeongeup County and bought a five-room house.
성도 여러 명이 정읍군 입암면 왕심리(旺尋里)에 가서 다섯 칸짜리 주택을 사 놓으니라.
3 On a later occasion, Taemonim instructed the disciples, “Even if I leave you, meditate, observing with one mind these three words—sincerity, awakenedness, and faithfulness—in concord with the dao of heaven. There will come a time when I summon you.”
태모님께서 성도들에게 말씀하시기를 “내가 어디를 가더라도 원형이정으로 성경신(誠敬信) 석 자를 일심으로 잘 지켜 수행하라. 찾을 때가 있으리라.” 하시고
4 Taemonim also said, “To become a seed of the coming world, you must cultivate your mind and cultivate yourself with dao—and do so, most importantly, with loyalty, faithfulness, and truthfulness.”
또 말씀하시기를 “수심(修心), 수도(修道)하야 앞세상 종자가 되려거든 충신(忠信)과 진실(眞實)이 제일이라.” 하시니라.
